Libertas

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!Libertas is an Arknights zine reimagining operators in different kinds of alternative fashion.

about.

THEME
Libertas reimagines Arknights operators in different kinds of alternative clothing.
PRODUCT
Our complete product will be a merch box, similar to the official Arknights merch boxes provided by Yostar. This means that our final zine will be landscaped format, packaged within a custom graphic mailer box with other merch. Of course, there will be an option for zine-only and digital zine only for light spenders.
The zine itself will be around 6"x9" with 40+ pages of illustrations along with some information about the history of the style the operator illustrated is wearing.CONTRIBUTOR INCENTIVES
All contributors will receive at least the physical zine. We hope to provide the full product to all contributors, but it will depend on the success of our sales. Our end goal is to provide all contributors with the full product; afterwards, all excess profit will be split between mods and contributors.

FAQ

CREATION
Q: Are Reunion characters/NPCs allowed?
A: Boss enemies and significant NPC characters are fine! (Characters such as Talulah, Frostnova, Yuhsia, etc)
Q: Will there be male operators?
A: Yes! We won't forget the male operators!
Q: Will there be writers?
A: Due to the nature of our theme, we have decided to keep the zine visual only.
Q: Will there be cosplayers?
A: We have unfortunately decided to forgo cosplayers due to low interest.
PARTICIPATION/APPLICATION
Q: How do we participate?
A: General contributor applications are open now!
Q: Can we apply to multiple roles?
A: Yes, but you will only be accepted for one.
Q: What if I need to make a change to my application?
A: We judge applicants on a rolling basis, so please resubmit an updated application and note that it is a resubmission in the comments section at the end.
Q: Do all contributors need to design their own outfits for their piece or merch?
A: Yes, we ask all contributors to design their own outfits as the zine aims to cover as many unique alt styles as possible.
Q: Do we need to play the game/be knowledgeable on the game to participate?
A: Not necessarily, but examples of arknights fanarts will certainly be a plus!
Q: Will there be any credentials required to apply?
A: For contributors, we will only be looking at your portfolios in your applications. Merch artists are not required to have experience in merch illustration or creation, but it is a plus. Any samples that are traditional must be scanned and high quality. We ask that all contributors be at least 14 at the time of application. To receive profit, applicants must either be 18+ or have a parental Paypal account they can access.
Q: Will controversial content/ships on my profile affect my chances?
A: We are focused on depicting individual characters and fashion so we will not police the content future contributors choose to post or consume on their own time, given that it is not anything hateful, racist, or otherwise discriminatory. We only ask that the content is not brought into our zine spaces, and that all contributors treat each other with respect regardless of taste in content.
PRODUCT
Q: Where will the merchandise be shipped from?
A: We will be shipping internationally from the US.
Q: What merch products will be part of the bundles?
A: We will be including the following products in our project- prints, acrylic charms/coasters, acrylic standee, die-cut stickers, sticker sheets, and button pins.
Q: What will the pricing be?
A: Although nothing is certain yet due to the early stages of the product, we're currently thinking of around 50$ for the full set, 20$ for the physical copy only, and 10$ for the digital PDF.
Q: What will the inside of the zine look like?
A: The zine will feature both page illustrations and e2/skin design mockups. Contributors are free to choose what type of piece they would like to create. Each piece will feature one specific alt style.
MISC
Q: Could I get some more information on the moderators' credentials?
A: Please view our moderator descriptions in the page above!
Q: What if I'm a contributor but I need to drop out/miss a deadline?
A: If the need to drop out arises, please contact a moderator ASAP so we may arrange adjustments. Extensions to our check-ins are always negotiable, but due note that repeated occasions of missing deadlines or unreasonable requests may result in removal from the zine without compensation.
